Can You Smoke With Veneers?

A common question among people who have recently had veneers is, “Can you smoke with veneers?” In most cases, the answer is “no.” But it is important to know that there are some caveats you should be aware of. Smoking can cause stains on your veneers, so you need to quit smoking for them to last as long as possible.

To avoid causing damage to your veneers, avoid chewing on hard or sticky foods. You should also avoid using your teeth as utensils, as they can damage your veneers. Moreover, avoid chewing on pencils or pens. They can scratch your veneers. To protect them from damage, try wearing a nightguard.

If you’ve recently had veneers, you’ll want to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages, because they can damage your teeth. Drinking alcohol is a big no-no because the acid in alcohol will break down the bonding material holding your veneers to your teeth. This will slowly chip away at your veneers, making them unusable over time.

To prevent future damage to your teeth, you should have regular dental exams. These exams can identify potential problems before they cause any damage. You can also prolong the life of your veneers by improving your oral hygiene. You should brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss regularly. Also, use antiseptic mouthwashes and floss to remove any microorganisms that may be growing in your mouth.
