RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
Same-day CEREC crowns.
We design, mill, and place your porcelain crown in a single visit using in-house CEREC. No temporaries, no second appointment.
WHY CEREC
Most crown procedures still take two visits and two weeks. We do it in one.
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Translation: a 3D scanner replaces the goopy impression, a CAD design replaces the dental lab, and a high-speed mill cuts your crown out of a single block of porcelain while you wait. Same day. Same visit. Permanent.
DETAILS
How it works.
The visit
About 90 to 120 minutes total: numb, shape the tooth, 3D scan, design (15 minutes), mill (10 to 20 minutes), bond. You walk out with a permanent crown that day.
Materials
The porcelain blocks come in shades that match the rest of your teeth. The strength is comparable to traditional lab-made crowns. Best for back teeth (molars, premolars) and many front teeth, depending on the case.
When traditional crowns are better
Some highly cosmetic front-tooth cases benefit from a lab-made multi-layered crown for the most natural translucency. We will tell you up front if CEREC is right for your specific tooth, or if a traditional lab crown is the better call.
